NOCER-INDIA got its momentum on March 15, 1992, when a group of consumer activists resolved to form an organization. The members and other like-minded people traveled extensively all over the country to get a clear picture of the prevailing problems confronted in their day-to-day living. Thus they decided to register the organization under the Societies Registration Act. Subsequently, the society was registered on September 29, 1993 under S 410/93. The registered office is located at Edoor, Kannur (Dt.) of Kerala State.
